I am a regular at my local Goodwill. I love hunting through all their isles in search of that one long forgotten household item that is just dyeing to be beautiful again.
Here is what I found on this weekend’s shopping trip….
All three items were $2.25 each for a total of $6.75. Plus everything was 25% that day so I scored everything for just $5.00! In just a few hours I was able to turn it into this…..
Here is what I did…
Step 1 – sand the rough spots
Step 2 – Prime
Step 3 – Paint
Step 4 – Add a clear gloss top coat (i forgot to take a picture)
Step 5 – Polish
the final product in my living room……
Compared to……
tray $59.00 from West Elm, votive holder $4.95 (not sterling silver like mine!) from Crate & Barrel, vase $99.00 from Mid Atlantic Beauty. grand total = $162.95
I did it all for $5.00!
